See Full details below

What’s Covered by the Lifetime Warranty?

Our lifetime warranty guarantees the structural integrity of your bottle, so you can count on it to stay durable and functional for years to come. While the steel body is covered under the warranty, there are a few things it doesn’t include:

  • Paintwork: If your bottle has a painted finish, natural wear and tear, scuffs, or chips from daily use aren’t covered. We believe those marks tell a story of the adventures you’ve shared with your bottle!
  • Caps and Accessories: While the bottle itself is protected, the caps and seals aren’t covered by the warranty. These parts are subject to regular use and may need replacing after some time.

What About Accidental Damage?

While our warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, Onegreenbottle products are built tough to handle the challenges of everyday life. With proper care and attention, your bottle can be your constant companion, whether you’re at work, in the gym, or exploring the great outdoors.

  1. Accidental Damage

Definition:
Accidental damage occurs when the product is harmed due to external, unintended actions by the user or external factors. This is not caused by the way the product was manufactured.

Examples:

  • Dropping a water bottle, causing dents or cracks.
  • Scratches or chips from improper handling.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures that the product wasn’t designed for.

Warranty Coverage:

  • Like most standard warranties we do not cover accidental damage since it is considered the user’s responsibility.
  1. Manufacturing Defect

Definition:
A manufacturing defect is an inherent flaw or problem that occurs during the production process. It causes the product to fail or not perform as intended under normal use.

Examples:

  • A water bottle that leaks due to a poor seal design.
  • Misaligned components, such as caps that don’t fit properly.
  • Defective materials, like weak stainless steel that cracks without external impact.

Warranty Coverage:

  • Manufacturing defects are covered under the standard warranty since they indicate a failure in quality control.
  • Claims usually require proof of purchase and may involve inspections to confirm the defect.

When submitting a warranty claim, it’s crucial to identify the cause of the issue. If it’s due to accidental damage, the warranty might not apply.

Using a stainless steel bottle isn’t just better for the environment—it’s better for your health. Studies have shown that microplastics from plastic bottles and containers can leach into your drinks, posing significant risks to your well-being. By switching to a Onegreenbottle stainless steel bottle, you’re making a safer choice. Our bottles are free from harmful chemicals and toxins, ensuring that every sip you take is pure and clean, without the risk of ingesting microplastics. It’s a small change with a big impact on your health.

Why doesn’t the warranty cover the paintwork?

The warranty doesn’t cover the paint finish because, over time, normal wear and tear is inevitable, especially with regular use. The paint on your bottle may naturally chip or fade due to handling, washing, or exposure to various environments. This kind of cosmetic aging doesn’t affect the bottle’s performance or durability, which is why it isn’t included in the lifetime warranty. The focus of the warranty is on the structural integrity of the stainless steel body, ensuring your bottle remains functional for life.

Why doesn’t the warranty cover the cap?

The warranty doesn’t cover the cap because it’s a functional part of the bottle that experiences regular use, such as opening, closing, and cleaning. Over time, these everyday actions can lead to normal wear. To ensure your bottle remains in top condition, we offer a variety of replacement caps, giving you the flexibility to refresh or update your bottle whenever needed. This allows us to focus the warranty on the long-lasting durability of the stainless steel body, while still providing options to keep your bottle performing at its best.

What if my bottle rusts?

Stainless steel 304 grade is highly resistant to rust and corrosion, thanks to its chromium content, which forms a protective oxide layer on the surface. However, in rare cases, rust can appear due to external factors such as:

  1. Prolonged Exposure to Harsh Environments: High salinity, extreme humidity, or exposure to strong acids and chemicals can damage the protective layer over time.
  2. Scratches or Damage: Deep scratches or damage to the surface may compromise the protective oxide layer, allowing rust to form.
  3. Improper Maintenance: Failure to clean the bottle regularly, especially after contact with salty or acidic substances, can lead to surface discoloration or corrosion.

Is Rust Dangerous?

No, rust on stainless steel is not dangerous. If small spots of rust appear, it’s typically superficial and does not compromise the safety or functionality of the bottle. You can safely continue to use the bottle after addressing the rust.

What to Do If Rust Appears

  • Clean the Affected Area: Use a paste of baking soda and water or a stainless steel cleaner with a soft cloth to gently scrub the rust. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Check the Source: Ensure the discoloration isn’t caused by external contaminants, such as mineral deposits from water or residue from a drying rack.
  • Prevent Future Rust: Avoid leaving the bottle in damp conditions for extended periods, and clean it regularly, especially after exposure to saltwater or acidic drinks.

Onegreenbottle uses high-quality 304-grade stainless steel for its exceptional durability and rust resistance. With proper care, your bottle will remain safe, functional, and free from rust for a lifetime. If you ever have concerns, feel free to reach out—we’re always here to help!

Caring for Your Bottle

To ensure your bottle lasts a lifetime, we recommend regular cleaning and proper care. Avoid harsh impacts, and wash your bottle with warm soapy water or a bottle brush to keep it in tip-top condition. If you have any questions about maintenance, our team is here to help.

A Deep clean

Our stainless steel is the highest grade 304 or 18/8. It does not take on or impart odours or taste. Stainless steel is naturally resistant to bacterial growth but If your bottle does develop a nasty niff it can easily be remedied

If your stainless steel water bottle develops an unpleasant smell, here’s how to clean it effectively:

Materials Needed:

  • Warm water
  • Dish soap
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Bottle brush or a soft sponge
  • Optional: Lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide

Step-by-Step Cleaning:

  1. Routine Wash:
    • Rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm water to remove any residue.
    • Add a few drops of dish soap and fill the bottle halfway with warm water.
    • Use a bottle brush or soft sponge to scrub the interior. Don’t forget to clean the cap and threads.
  2. Deep Cleaning with Baking Soda and Vinegar:
    • Sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda into the bottle.
    • Add a splash of white vinegar (be cautious, as it will fizz).
    • Once the fizzing subsides, fill the bottle with warm water and let it sit for 15-30 minutes.
    • Scrub thoroughly with a brush and rinse well.
  3. Neutralize Odors:
    • If odours persist, fill the bottle with warm water and add a few tablespoons of lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide.
    • Let it sit for a few hours or overnight for best results.
    • Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Dry Completely:
    • After rinsing, dry the bottle upside down on a rack with the cap removed. This prevents moisture buildup, which can cause odours.
  5. Regular Maintenance:
    • Clean your bottle daily if used frequently, and deep clean it weekly or as needed.
    • Avoid leaving liquids in the bottle for extended periods, especially beverages like milk or juice.

Extra Tips:

  • Avoid abrasive scrubbers, as they may scratch the stainless steel.
  • If the cap has seals or rubber components, check for hidden mold and clean with soapy water or a vinegar solution.

This method ensures your bottle stays clean, odour-free, and safe for use!

New research has shown the catastrophic damage that microplastics can do your body and surges in childhood and colon cancers in under 50s are now being directly attributed to microplastics

While research on microplastics is still evolving, the evidence so far underscores the urgent need for action to mitigate their presence in our environment and bodies.
